Q: Tell us about your college career and what the recruiting process was like. Why did you choose Tarleton?

A: My college career was unlike most. I started at Blinn College (TX) but due to lack of focus in the classroom I went home to refocus. In January 2016 I transferred to TVCC (TX). After completing a season there I had many offers but didn’t have the grades to go D1. So I went back home in hopes to complete classes and go D1. That didn’t happen so I was at home working at Chick-fil-A and in comes Tarleton one day. Took a visit that Saturday was enrolled on campus that next Monday. I knew Tarleton was home the moment stepped on campus. It’s an amazing university and it’s only growing. I was blessed to be a 2x LSC First team selection as well as a 2x First team All-Region selection and 2x All-American. All while leading our team to a 12-1 record as a senior.

Q: What would you consider to be your biggest accomplishment in your sports career so far?

A: biggest accomplishment would be being selected as team captain my senior year. We had some talented players and leaders and being chosen by my coaches trainers and team mates was truly an honor.

Q: What do you consider to be one of the more important things you learned from the coaching staff while playing at Tarleton.

A: Honesty. I knew at Tarleton if Coach Whitten (HC) or Coach Patton (DC) said they were gonna do something I knew it’d get done. Definitely taught me what a mans true word means.

Q: What was your major and what are your plans if football didn’t work out?

A: majored in Kinesiology. If football doesn’t work I plan to go back to get and get my masters while being a GA somewhere. And then get into coaching.

Q: What would your teammates say about you and your qualities?

A: I feel my teammates would say I’m a hard worker. Always first one in last one out. I lead my example. Quiet guy but likes to do everything right.

Q: What has been your biggest challenge and how do you manage it?

A: Biggest challenge has been organization and time management. I’ve learned that time is a horrible thing to waste which I why I wake up every morning thank God and give everything I do 110% no matter what it is

Q: What is your biggest strength that you bring to a professional team and why should pro scouts consider you?

A: Honesty. Loyalty. Hard work. Grit. Pro scouts should consider me because no matter what I’m always going to compete no matter what my role is. Scout team practice squad special teams I’ll do it all and give the best look and my all at everything I do.

Q: Who is or has been the most influential person in your life?

A: My parents together. They work as a team and I know no matter what they always have my back. They’ve sacrificed so much and spent so much on me and I just want the chance to show them that all their hard work and time wasn’t for nothing.

Q: Are you involved in mentoring, a charity or do you “give back”/”pay it forward” in your community?

A: I currently am in the early process of setting up a camp/ 7on7/ linemen challenge in my home town and surrounding areas. Also working with my trainer and church to start going out to schools and speaking to young men and women. Also would like to go out to local high schools and speak to athletes about the importance of academics as well as athletics at their age.

Q: How are you preparing for the 2019 National Scouting Combine and what are your expectations?

A: I’m currently training everyday 5-6 hours. Running lifting conditioning and stretching. I expect to preform well During the combine and put up great numbers and then build on that heading into pro day.

Q: What would be your ultimate achievement?

A: My ultimate achievement would be to be on a team come kickoff of the 2019 season. I would love to be drafted but if not I would like to be signed or brought in for a rookie tryout and then grind my way to the 53.  If the NFL doesn’t work I’d love to try the CFL or even AAF. If all else fails go back to school and become the best coach possible.
