St. Anselm showed a lot of interest in me early on and was extremely helpful during the recruiting process. I knew that I would be able to make a significant impact on the team right away while using my versatility as both a running back and a slot receiver. St. Anselm offered me a great opportunity to succeed both on and off the field.

elad1Q: What would you consider to be your biggest accomplishment in your college career?

One of my biggest accomplishments in my college career would have to be when I helped lead my team to its most successful season in school history in 2014. However, individually, I consider my biggest accomplishment to be in the 2015 season when I rushed for 259 yards on only 20 carries (13 yards per carry) while scoring two touchdowns in a single game.

Q: What do you consider to be one of the more important things you learned from the coaching staff while at St. Anselm?

A great concept that I acquired from the coaching staff while at St. Anselm was mental toughness. The coaching staff at St. Anselm always harped on playing the next play. I learned and demonstrated throughout my career that it is not about focusing on the last play or the score board. Rather, it is about being mentally tough enough to brush off the last play, good or bad, and play every play like it is the one that will determine the outcome of the game.

Q: What is your biggest strength that you bring to the field that might make a professional team sign you?

I am an extremely competitive person who is very self-driven with an exceptional work ethic. I am willing to compete day in and day out with anyone who I am up against and you will get everything out of me every single time I step foot onto the field.

Q: If you could compete against any other professional athlete, who would that be and why?

If I could compete against any other professional athlete it would be Von Miller. One part of playing running back that I love is getting my hands dirty in pass protection. Von Miller is an outstanding pass rusher and one of my favorite things to do on the field is jam up defenders trying to rush the passer.

Q: Who is or has been the most influential person in your life?

My mother is most definitely the most influential person in my life. She raised three kids as a single mother while putting herself through school. She is my all-time motivation to be successful in life.

Q: What has your experience been like training with Kevin Dunn and the Test Football Academy?

Training with Kevin Dunn and Geir Gudmundsen at TEST Football Academy was the best decision I made in preparing for my combines and pro-day. I really improved my technique for many drills such as the 5-10-5 shuttle and 3 cone drill. They break down the technique of every drill you need to know and truly care about helping you be prepared for the next level in every way.

Q: What are your goals with football? If football does not work out do you have a “plan B”?

I am the kind of person who lives and breathes football. My goal is to make a significant impact on a professional team and I honestly cannot imagine myself doing anything else. However, if football does not work out as planned, I would love to get into coaching. I truly love the game of football and whether it is playing or coaching I want to be involved and surrounded by the game for the rest of my life.

Q: How did you prepare for the National Scouting Combine and what were your expectations?

A big part of my preparation for the National Scouting Combine was nutrition and getting appropriate sleep every night. I prepared myself mentally almost as much as I did physically. I imagined myself going through each drill as if it were the day of the combine. I expected to compete and put on a performance while showcasing my talents.

Q: What was your experience like in Indianapolis, and what did you learn from the experience?

Indianapolis was an overall great experience. It was great getting exposure and having the opportunity to perform in front of scouts from several CFL teams. The combine was very well organized and was an excellent stepping stone for the NFL regional combine.

Q: What would be your ultimate achievement?

My ultimate achievement would be to help guide my team to a Super Bowl championship.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_video link=”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ZVXBNHvR_U” title=”2016 National Scouting Combine Running Backs”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
